How many cameras do I need?
Most houses are well covered by 4 cameras: front door, driveway, back garden and side access. Larger homes and businesses often need 6–8. We confirm the right number at the free survey.
What is the difference between the quality levels?
Essential (5MP) is clear and great value. Enhanced (6MP) adds more detail. Advanced (4K, 8MP) shows the most detail, so you can identify faces and number plates from further away. Ultimate adds full-colour night vision and smart person and vehicle detection.
Why put the recorder in the loft?
A recorder in the loft is much harder for an intruder to find or steal. For £175 we add the electrical cabling, a new socket, fused spur protection and panel mounting. See an example.
Is there a monthly fee?
No. Footage is recorded on the recorder at your property and viewing on your phone is free. Cloud backup (Videoloft) is optional and has a subscription.
What if my property needs extra work?
The price assumes standard access and cable runs. If the survey finds anything different, we tell you the revised price before any work, and you can cancel without charge.
